(formerly known as Chengdu Brilliant Development Group Co., Ltd.) was established in the form of raising funds from targeted sources in July 1992 with the approval of Chengdu Commission for Structural Reforms and the support of such four organizations as Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee. The Company is one of the first batches of joint-stock pilot enterprises in the National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and also the first joint-stock pilot enterprise combining the science and technology with economy that was carried out across the country by the State Scientific and Technological Commission (now known as the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China) and State Commission for Restructuring the Economic System. In October 1996, the IPO of the Company was 36,000,000 shares; on November 18 of the same year, the Company was listed in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In July 2006, the Company implemented a reform program of equity division. Chengdu Hi-tech Investment Group Co., Ltd. is the controlling shareholder.
